When this blog launched, I committed to posting three times a week, every week, for a year. By the end of the year, I couldn’t wait to give it up. It was just too much in an already-packed schedule, and had quickly become an obligation. So I slipped to one post a week. Before long, it was one every other week. Then once a month, if that. It was inconsistent, unreliable; I lost my passion and my intent behind the site.

So this year, I’m recommitting. After jotting down my goals for the year ahead (more on that later), I realized how much I enjoy building LBW. This year, I want to incorporate more voices, more stories outside of my own.

Expect two posts a week, every Monday and Wednesday, for the next year.

And at least one guest post a month, because I want to hear others’ stories, and I’m sure you do, too. Like always, our posts will focus on three areas:

  • Food (recipes, cooking hacks, and food trends)
  • Fun (things to do, human interest pieces, bizarre trivia, straight-up ridiculousness)
  • Fulfillment (life advice, recent research, book club & career profiles)

That said, I’m using the next few days to draft an editorial calendar for the months ahead, and I want your input! If there’s a topic we should cover, a person we should feature (ahem, like maybe YOU!), a recipe you need in your life pronto, let us know. Tweet @betweenweekends, or comment below.
