I don’t even know how to properly name or describe these photos without just showing them to you. Orb landscape photos? Pseudo-planet photos? Circular landscape images? No matter how I Google it, I can’t come up with the right term. Even after Nate found out how to make these pics, we didn’t see a common name used—though some refer to them as “tiny planets.” Still confused about what I’m talking about? I’ll just show you:
Wild, right? It’s like a sphere ringed by a skyline, but it can also be inverted. These photos aren’t the result of fancy camera equipment or a lot of Photoshopping. Turns out, you can create your own using the free Planetical app.
