In my early days as a magazine editor, I’d race downtown to New York City‘s famed flower market by 6:30 a.m., buying up loose stems by the armful for interior design photo shoots. Most of us don’t have access to a flower market—and after ordering flowers in bulk online for my wedding, only for two-thirds of them to show up wilted, withered and beyond hope of revival—I started looking for other options. It turns out Sam’s Club has surprisingly affordable (and remarkably high quality!) blooms. If you want to order roses in bulk, in particular, it’s a great resource, since you can buy 50 Ecuadorian roses for less than a dollar a stem ($40, if you’re a member). You save even more if you spring for 150 roses for $116, which is plenty to decorate a party. Or shock someone with a Kardashian-caliber arrangement.
It’s much cheaper than ordering your typical delivery bouquet too. Often, I’ve found those cost $60 and up—usually way up—and half the arrangement is baby’s breath and carnations. As you can see from my photos, these Sam’s Club roses pack much more of an impact for less money. Plus, they’re grown on Rainforest Alliance-certified farms, and you can choose your delivery date to ensure they arrive when you’re home.
How Long Do Sam’s Club Roses Last?
They lasted me nearly two weeks. I made sure to change out the water every few days and keep the ends trimmed, which definitely helped extend their lifespan.

The Bottom Line: Are Sam’s Club Roses Worth It?
Yes—particularly if you just want long stem roses. If you want a variety of blooms, artfully arranged, you may prefer Fresh Sends, Urban Stems or Bouqs. Just be prepared to spend as much—or more—for fewer flowers overall.
